Boating with the Jones’

Saturday was Payton's 19th Birthday! He invited Katie and I to go boating with his family today and boy did we have FUN! We went to Lake Washington and inner-tubed and "Hot Dogged" our way around the lake.

Sister Jones packed some great sandwiches for us to eat for lunch and made DELICIOUS mint brownies. Every time Ethan got back on the boat he would ask for another mint brownie, it was hilarious. He had like 7 brownies. When we stopped for lunch Landon started throwing crust to the lone duck that came up to our boat and within 5 minutes we had about 20 seagulls floating around our boat along with the duck. The first seagull to join in the bread hunt was a Hawk Wannabe; he kept flying around circling the boat then would swoop down really fast to get the one piece of bread that was left in the water.

All of the kids went swimming for about an hour before we started inner-tubing and I was in the water the entire time everyone else took breaks in between but I never stopped swimming. I was pretty proud of myself. J

No matter how tight I made my life-vest, it would always end up looking like this!

Ethan was the first one to do an activity, he wake-boarded a few times while the water was calmer. He only got up and going a few times and the last time he got up he did a small trick and then when he was having a personal celebration his face got up close and personal with the water. To which Payton and I said, "He just got humbled!" haha. Katie, Payton, and Ethan were the first to ride on the hot dog and they were quick to learn that staying on was an important part of riding. They fell off within like 10 seconds. They stayed on for a while after that though. They had such a nice peaceful easy ride so when it was my turn Ethan and I decided we want to have a crazy ride! Which we got! We had a few crazy rides before the Hot Dog was too flat to ride. Then we got out the smaller tube and Ethan and I took a few beatings. Me especially, I ate water quite a few times and I am freakishly sore…. I have barely been able to move the past couple days cause I am so sore.

Here are a few more pictures from the day! Enjoy! J

This is me struggling, as usual.

Ethan and I ready for a Hot Dog ride!

I finally got Payton to ride after much persuasion :D

Katie enjoying herself?

Ah yes, Katie enjoying herself!

My first ride on the other tube, I hadn't figured out the right position yet so my legs are smacking against the hard water…yay.

Oh Ethan...hahaha

My 18th Birthday and A New Blogger

So I decided since I am starting a new life I should start a blog!
I am moving to Provo, UT in about 3 weeks to start working at Doterra. I am sad to leave behind my life in Washington but I can't wait for the new opportunities that await me in the coming months. I will be working to save up money for beauty school in the next couple of years.
In preparation for moving I have bought a few things, and gotten a few things from friends. My favorite thing so far that I have gotten is this blanket from IKEA for 20 bucks!
I thought it was gorgeous so I splurged on it :)
For my birthday I got a beautiful comforter set from Kohls, I don't have a picture of it right now but once I move into my apartment I will post pictures of my bed set as a whole. I also got some really cute new dresses for work since I need to dress professionally. One of the dresses goes with my favorite pair of shoes that has never had an outfit to go with it. Hooray!!

Sharla took me out to lunch for my birthday and we went to Red Robin. While we were sitting and eating we both simultaneously saw a very attractive bus boy, and let me tell you , he was pretty! When we got our bill Sharla told our server that we were celebrating my birthday so she went and got my sundae and balloons. I was really hoping that the cute bus boy would come and sing to me, and he did! He was cleaning a table across from us right when they started to do the shout-clap-birthday-thing they do. I was quite happy, that made the song extra special! After lunch we went over to Ross to go shopping for some good work clothes. I found a few good things like a fancy shirt with a belt built into it, nice black pants, and a dress that is a shirt and pencil skirt sewn together. Usually those types of dresses don't flatter me very well but I was in luck so I took advantage of the rarity.

Later that day Nikki and I took a quick trip to the Seattle Temple. I took her for her birthday last year and we just sat on the grounds and talked for a good couple hours. We had a very nice time talking about life and all the upcoming changes in both our lives.

I have enjoyed living so close to a beautiful temple and I can't wait to live within walking distance of one temple and a short drive from 20 more temples!

Overall, I had a terrific birthday and am anxious to move on to the next chapter in my life. Another post to come soon!
